“Pierre Jacques en Baretous” named after the tribute of Pierre Jacques Tillous, in memory of his athletic commitment and exemplar involvement in the sporting life of the region, is an one day cyclo-sportive event  in which amateur road racing cyclists of different categories compete in an attractive mountainous Pyrenean course of peculiar beauty. The Valley de Baretous lies in the Northwest part of the Pyrenees mountains between Lourdes and Biarritz.

The competition proceeds on three races of different length and difficulty.

There are over 300 participants in 10 different categories of riders, affiliated or not, men and women, ages to 10 over 60.

Naturally we take to heart this fantastic challenge and remain privileging warm welcome and conviviality to honor the mind Pierre Jacques Tillous has instilled.

Cyclosportmen and women whose philosophy and state of mind are meeting our own specifications, come  numerous in Baretous’s Valley and join us on Saterday 31th of July 2010.
